I have known Brother Jeremy Schott for more than 15 years. He has a real heart for souls. I have seen him first-hand serve the Lord. He has a good testimony and a soft heart for the ministry. Right on Time!
While driving through West Virginia this past Friday, the ministry truck began to smoke! I pulled off the road in Spencer, West Virginia to see where the smoke was coming from (not that I could have done anything about it). After opening the hood and gazing into the 6.6 Duramax engine, a sound that could only be described as a gun went off. I immediately ducted thinking I had been shot at.
Just as soon as I ducked, a stranger who later became my friend Tim, pulled up to the truck and trailer. He asked me if I needed any help. I asked him if he saw me jump back from the truck. He smiled and said yes.
Tim, a Christian, was kind enough to take me to the parts store to pick up what had broken loose from the engine. The noise I heard was an idler pulley that had shattered and hit the radiator fan!
After about an hour of labor in the cold, I was on my way to Looneyville, West Virginia to pick up Bibles going to Georgia. I could not help but think about how God helped me, and that His help was right on time!
This ordeal made me think about how I should be willing to help others in need, and how the Lord takes care of His children!
In a place where I knew no one, it was good to know that God new where I was!
